Recover your master password
OfficeNEXT Safebox does not store the master password on the server to ensure the security of users' encrypted data. Therefore, if you forget your master password, you will not be able to access your stored data, and even the administrator cannot recover your password. However, to prepare for possible password loss, you can set up a master password recovery process in advance.
When registering the master password for the first time, three recovery options are provided.

"Send the recovery key to email address" – The master password recovery key will be sent to the email address linked to your logged-in account. If you keep the email with the recovery key (PEM), you can reset your master password later. Even if you change your PC or do not save the key separately, you can retrieve it from your email inbox. Security Level: Moderate
"Save the recovery key to local machine" – The master password recovery key will be stored on your personal PC. You can securely keep it on your current PC or in a designated location of your choice. Security Level: High
"Do Not Use the recovery key" – The master password recovery key will not be used. Security Level: Very High
If you have forgotten your master password, you can set a new password by following these steps:
On the OfficeNEXT login screen, click "Find Master Password".
Users who lose their master password should contact their company's administrator to recover their safebox password.

The Master Password Recovery screen will appear, followed by the OTP and PEM attachment screen.

This step is something that the admin needs to do. To send an OTP code by email to a user who has lost the master password, do the following: Admin consol
OTP is sent to the user by email by clicking 'Reset Master Password' which appears when the administrator clicks the three-dot menu at the top of the user's detailed view screen in the administrator console of Safebox.

Now, the user checks the OTP code in his/her email sent from the server and enters the OTP code received in the email in the "Maseter Password Recovery" screen.

In the PEM attachment field located below the OTP input field on the master password recovery screen, attach the recovery key that was saved after setting the master password during OfficeNEXT Safebox registration. If you received the recovery key via email, check your email inbox.

If both OTP and PEM have been applied and your identity has been verified, you can re-register and use a new master password on the "Master password recovery" screen.

You can now log in to your OfficeNEXT Safebox with your new master password.
